Join us in an experiential 2 hr online learning session to explore how to create inclusive, respectful and culturally safe spaces when working with Indigenous people. We will cover cultural safety, historical and contemporary contexts that shape Indigenous experiences and practical tools for nurturing inclusion and diversity in your hypnotherapy space and community.

Greetings friends and family my traditional name is Peye’tunaat. I am from Cowichan Tribes. My late Grandmother is Madeline Canute-Gonzales. My name is Lyla Harman, I am a Mental Health Counsellor here in the Cowichan Valley.
Biography
Lyla Harman RSW MSW
Lyla’s mixed roots of Cowichan, Shuswap, English and Scottish strongly influence her wholistic world view of balancing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of personal and professional life. Lyla concentrates in supporting Indigenous women and Indigenous communities healing from intergenerational trauma. She was on the Satir Institute of the Pacific Board of Directors and in January 2018 and opened Cedar Wellness Counselling and Consulting. Her honour and passion is to create connection through educational workshops and transformative retreats at her Lake Cowichan retreat space. www.cedarwellness.ca
