Book: "The Memory Illusion" 

by Dr. Julia Shaw

If you are interested in  how memories are created, distorted and manipulated and help form the internal narratives our clients present, you will want to read this book.

Dr. Julia Shaw is  Canadian; a senior lecturer in criminology at London South Bank University in the UK; holds a BA from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, and a PHD from UBC.

Her book is subtitled "Why you may not be Who you think you are", and is an in-depth, scientific exploration of how memories are formed, forgotten and manipulated throughout our lives: "reveals the science of remembering, forgetting and false memory. 

This is an essential read for hypnotherapists trying to our clients  understand the source of  their internal narratives from both "real" and "false" memories of their past.
